Real Estate analysis for 2014 and into 2015
The real estate market in Hopkinton is going as expected so far. While the winter weather has hampered sales a bit, the market is off to a good start of the year. Last year Hopkinton was one of the few towns in the area that ended the year with more sales than the previous year.
March was an average month with 12 sales. This actually mirrored the same amount of sales that took place last March. Not Pending sales on the other hand were outstanding with 18. The new inventory coming on the market was getting gobbled up as quickly as it was getting listed.
Over the last couple of months inventory levels have been remaining steady holding between 45 to 55 homes for sale. This is historically a low amount of homes available for purchase. The market is going to be competitive for buyers this spring with sellers holding the upper hand.
