Real Estate analysis so far in 2015
The real estate market in Hopkinton got off to a slow start but has been steady since. The Spring market performed very well but showing activity has started to slow. I expect the next couple months to be decent but not spectacular when it comes to activity. Right now sales year to date are lagging slightly behind last year with ten less sales.
June was good month with 21 sales. It was however down from June of last year when there were twenty seven sales. Pending sales were exceptional with 32 properties going under contract. This was easily the best month for home going under contract.
Inventory of homes for sale has gone up quite a bit over the last few months. This is fairly typical for this time of year.
2015 Sales Data to Date
So far in 2015 through June there have been 75 sales. At this same point in time last year there were 85 sales.
Hopkinton ended 2014 with 207 single family homes being sold. In 2013 there were 185 so Hopkinton had an exceptional year for real estate sales.
