The real estate market in Hopkinton this past year was exceptional. It was one of the few towns in the area that ended the year with more sales than the previous year. There have not been many lulls in the market over the year until very recently which is very common for this time of year.
January was a very slow month with only 4 sales. This was down considerably compared to last year when there were 13 sales. Pending sales were decent however with 11.
Over the last couple of months inventory levels have been dropping by quite a bit. With only 48 homes for sale Hopkinton is poised to be a sellers market in a couple of months when the Spring market hits. Sellers should be in prime position as has been the case for the past couple of years.
