The are currently 38 homes on the market in Holliston MA. The average list price of these homes is $588,004. The average days on the market is 99. Home for sale inventory decreased  from last month with four less properties available for purchase. Inventory levels had been on a downward trend for the first few months of the year but bounced up a bit last month. Sales have been keeping pace with homes entering the market.

Current Real Estate Analysis

May was a fair month for home sales with eleven transactions. The real estate market is now playing catch up as the first few months of the year started very slowly due to the dismal winter we experienced. Sales now have picked up dramatically but inventory still remains low keeping our sales figures lower than expected. With inventory remaining on the low side, homeowners are in prime position when selling. Buyers need to move quickly especially in price points where there is very low inventory.

The market in Holliston was very similar this May to last year. In fact there was one less sale – 11 vs 12. Homes going under contract were exceptional with 25.

The market remains very competitive for buyers. At the moment inventory is coming and going very quickly. In some pockets of the market there will be multiple offers and homes selling at, near, or over asking prices.

Year to date there have been 45 sales. This is down from last year when there were 55 sales through the same time period.

Last years sales vs 2013

Holliston finished 2014 with 161 transactions. In 2013 there were 170 homes that sold in town. Over all the market this past year was not much different than last in terms of sales volume.
